I layered some of the pages & placed them over a fluorescent blue screen to replicate x-ray photos. This gives a unique viewing perspective on the pages & plays into the theme of the entire zine.

'Break A Leg' is a transparent, wire-bound zine printed on glossy acetate. It tells a story of healing, but also physically shows elements of the physical healing culture. The pages show x-ray’s on x-ray like paper & the wire-bind mimics the external fixators which inspired the healing of the very bones it discusses inside. I intentionally made it so the entire zine is translucent, giving the effect that you can “see through” the zine, mirroring the function of an X-ray, showing the ‘skeleton’ of the booklet. Each spread documents one of three healing stages.
